VOLUNTEERING AT VINNIES

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

If you want to join our vibrant Vinnies volunteering team please contact Lorna: 07 579 6453 or bayvinnies@gmail.com

Volunteer

Vinnies provides help to the community in many different ways and volunteers make it possible for this to happen. Without our volunteers we would be unable to function as over 90% of the work we do is carried out by volunteers.

Our ability to provide help in the community relies on many hours of volunteer time. For example, approximately 5,000 volunteer hours were donated in 2012 for Loaves and Fishes and Fullstop projects alone. In our shops, we rely on hundreds of volunteer hours every week.

All our charitable operations are funded by income from our shops and donations, and operate due to the incredible dedication of our volunteers.

Shop Volunteer

Volunteer in our Shops

We always need new volunteers in all of our shops. Do you enjoy chatting to people and offering them a friendly experience? Are you looking to learn new skills for the retail sector? Do you enjoy sorting, organising, or creating eye-catching window displays?

If any of these apply to you, we would love to hear from you. To volunteer at any of our shops, please contact them directly via the shop page.

Conference Volunteers

Local Groups (Conferences)

If you are interested in becoming a conference member, or volunteering to work directly with the conferences providing visiting and support services, you would be most welcome. Enquire through the churches listed on the local groups page or use the contact details above.

What Volunteers Say About Us

“I found Vinnies great for work experience. I drove the delivery vans for two and a half years making deliveries and pickups from their various shops. It helped with my confidence and with working with other people. It was really helpful that Vinnies were a work reference for me.”
– Jamie Langdon, Volunteer

“Our Shop Manager is a special caring person — a kind employer. Whenever there is a problem we know we can approach her in confidence. I feel appreciated and valued.”
– Chrissy Adams, Volunteer

“I volunteer at St Vincent de Paul. It is a lovely place to work. You meet lovely people. I do three days a week and love every minute!”
– June Moore, Volunteer
